Feel free to contact us, if you need additional samples from the first semester.
Tafsir
A students primary objective when studying Arabic should be to understand the Holy Qur`an. Deriving benefit from the works of such luminaries as Thanwi, al-Alusi, and ibn ‘Ashur, our tafsir classes are designed to help students achieve this objective and gain an appreciation for the unparalleled literary and thematic excellence of the divine speech.

Mantiq
Mantiq, or classical logic, is essential for a student of sacred knowledge, not only to understand some of the terminologies used in the books of usul al-fiqh and kalam, but more importantly, to learn to reason correctly and construct a proper argument. Our classes are largely based on al-Qistas al-Mustaqim and Mi’yar al-‘Ilm, both by al-Ghazali, one of the most celebrated thinkers in Islamic history and an authority on the subject.

Fiqh
We incorporate Nur al-Idah and Mukhtasar al-Quduri, two authoritative primers in Hanafi fiqh, within our curriculum. They cover the most important aspects of worship and transactions, and the primary focus is on reading and understanding the text rather than delving into variant opinions and juridical debates.
