• So, what are the exact costs during the months from now until October 2011?

  When a student registers several months before a start-date, their account status in the interim period is termed “self-paced”, meaning they are able to move as quickly or as slowly as they deem suitable for themselves. The introductory cost for this self-paced format is a single payment of $498. This is a limited time offer. The costs may go up at any time without notice.

  Upon registration, you are immediately provided access to the entire course material for the first year of the Foundations Program. (Hence the logic behind taking payment upfront for the entire year.)

  Thereafter, you can move forward in the course at your own pace as your lifestyle permits. This price structure maintains for the whole year, if you choose not to attend any live classes. You will retain access to all materials and forum support. This is what we mean by “self-paced”.
  

• So, if I miss the registration deadline for the regular classes, is this my only other option?

  Yes. The regular Shariah Program online classes accept students only twice a year; in early October and in late March. We cannot keep registration for those classes open indefinitely, as, firstly, the class sizes become very large, and, secondly, late registrants are seldom able to properly catchup and merge into the existing class. As such, a deadline for registration will be announced along with every start-up of the Foundations Program. Students who miss that deadline will be encouraged to register for the self-paced version of the program.

• Would I be able to convert my "self-paced" account into a regular account in October 2011?

  Most definitely. With a self-paced account you will have received one entire year’s access to all material. Prior to the next start-up (October 2011), you may contact us in order to switch your account status to that of a regular student. The remaining months will be adjusted according to our standard fee structure.

  So if you signed up in March 2011 and requested an account status change in October 2011, this will result in the latter half of your subscription being adjusted to 3 months, instead of 6. (Regular fees are double of self-paced fees).

People often need to re-start more than once before they are able to get a strong handle on the material.
