I have also been sitting through many Arabic Khutbas in the last few months trying to understand what the Imam was saying. Sometimes I understand 20-30% and some other times a little more. But last week, I heard a Khutbah after Fajr in which I understood almost everything I have heard. It was such an ecstatic moment for me in my Arabic learning. Once again, I thank Mufti Sahib for the excellent foundation he has laid in the last 1 year.
To tell you all the truth, I was probably one of the worst students in the first 6 months. At a point in time (when Naqis was starting, I guess) I resolved to myself that I would not only catch up but also try to be one of the best students in my class. Al Hamdu Lillah – the effort that I have put into the course in the last 8 months has really paid off.
Just one last note – My family, friends and colleagues say that I am a person who is hard-to-please. Here in TSP, my experience has just been the opposite. I am pleased with the course from Day 1 till now.
